Thanks for your reply. I think I will go with my gut and get the SXP. For a first shotgun, I bet it will be far better than I am at shooting. :D

I have read comments from people who say they use a pump for trap and skeet, so I bet I can use it enough to get a feel for what I like, and then if I really love one over the other, like you say, I can then know what I want and spend the bucks on something the will be for sure worth it.

I'm super pumped! Bad pun intended.

Cheers.

Have you found a store with it? Shouldered it? If you can hold off until I have time to make it out to VGC, I would be more than willing to let you use mine for a round.

Also, I believe Italian Sporting Goods in Vancouver has the compact and the 32" version. I have the 30".

Yeah, I'm going to check out Reliable and maybe Italian this weekend. If I feel any doubts after seeing in in person, might take you up on that offer.

Either way, hope I see you out there some time.

Just FYI, reliable doesn't have the SXP trap.

Well after all that, I went and held the SXP and a few others, and I talked to a guy who does a lot of trap and skeet, and he convinced me to go for a semi auto. I went with the SA-08. Hoping to get out to VGC this weekend.
